Christie Nguyen
Co-Founder, Studio 18 Nail Bar
Co-Founder, Nailing It For America
My name is Christie Nguyen & I am a proud second-generation co-owner of a small family business, mother to three young & beautiful children, CSUF alum, Co-Founder of Nailing It For America & a Nail Pro Association Member. We are beyond blessed to be able to give back to our community through our Nailing It for America initiative alongside some of the most respected & philanthropic members of Orange County.
I was born and raised by two extremely hard working parents who have sacrificed everything for my brother and I. For the first half of my life, we lived in Northern California and eventually migrated down to Southern California, halfway during my high school years. It was a bit rough to say the least, but definitely a blessing in disguise. As a proud alumni of Cal State Fullerton, I left with a strong sense of community and knowledge in 2010 with a degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing. Until this day, I still hold some of my best memories and professors at CSUF. While obtaining my degree at CSUF as a full time student, I also worked full time in retail and business banking for about seven years. This taught me growth, hard work, the importance of building relationships and managing my finances. It was about seven years into banking that I decided to leave the career I built, to embark on one of the most challenging yet rewarding journeys to date, to be a stay at home mom, now to three young and beautiful children who I have dedicated my life to.
Three years ago, my parents & I co-founded Studio 18 Nail Bar after they decided to retire from their engineering careers. We wanted to open the doors to an exquisite nail bar that catered to individuals who wanted to escape from the reality of life, where you could indulge in homemade, organic, luscious and top notch services. Studio 18 Nail Bar was officially born on April 15, 2017. As my parents work tirelessly as the Co-Director of Operations, I am the Managing Director of the business we pour our heart and souls into. As I offer the second generation viewpoint to our business, this has been the ultimate dream, to be able to work closely with the people I respect & love the most all while being a part of growing an amazing community, in the City of Tustin. Working so closely with my parents in our family business, this has given me insight of who they are and to see all the struggles they have ever endured from childhood to the Fall of Saigon to the present, there has never been a job that compares to what I am currently achieving side by side with them.

By the time he permanently separated from government service in 2007, he had risen to become a Senior Analysts and Project Lead.
In 2007, Jeff found himself in a new calling, one that was far different than his current career path. Together with friends, Jeff took his love of technology and the web and founded a small digital media design and development agency — Halcyon Design. There he worked with clients small and large, with the most notable being Disney, ABC, PBS, the US AirForce, and US Army. It was a successful experience, as he took an initial $1000 investment and turned it into a $300K /yr company.
Halcyon Design closed its doors in 2013 despite continuing success. Jeff took some time off and dabbled in other business ventures. As it were, Jeff couldn’t resist the desire for entrepreneurship, so he founded Echo Millennial in Fall 2014. Since then the company has experienced consistent growth, having grown from a team of one, to now having a satellite office in the Philippines, which supports our overseas clients there and in Australia.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys traveling, experiencing different cultures through its music, cuisine and drink. He’s a huge Star Wars and Disney fan. When outside, he can found conducting “board” meetings out in the surf at Huntington Beach, or out hiking and playing with his best friend, Gizmo.
